Madam President, Ladies and Gentlemen:

It has been a pleasure to serve on the Board this past year as Chair of the Membership Committee. Our role or purpose is to report membership statistics and to look at ways of increasing, and retaining membership in the Toronto Chapter.

For the period ended February 28th 2007, we had 688 paid members. This past year, our efforts were focused on maintaining the membership numbers and networking the chapter.

As we move forward into another Board year, our goals will be concentrated on a more proactive approach in determining new target areas and we will tailor our resources to reach these goals. Our website which was implemented four years ago is really a fabulous marketing tool, and we will look at using it more effectively to communicate with both prospective and current members.

In closing, I would like to thank Mary-Anne Moretto, FCI for her hard work and contributions to this committee.
