1. General Manager
A new General Manager has been hired to replace Geoff Wilkinson. Her name is Regina Delovitch and she has had experience in directing and managing not for profit organizations similar to ours. Her start date with us was April 23rd – and we wish her the best of luck in her new position.
2. ACI Designation
A proposal has been made to phase out the ACI designation. Any new nominations will follow a specified criteria to be determined and agreed to and will receive the FCI designation instead. All current ACI members' will keep their designation.
3. National Conference – "Go For Gold"
The conference is on track and is looking for 400-500 delegates. We are expecting an excellent effort from the BC Chapter and wish them success with the conference planning and execution.
4. Education
A task force has been proposed to review the by-laws and financials of the CCIEF to clarify the relationship of the CCIEF to the CIC. Ideas raised included a reporting relationship from CCIEF to the CIC as well as a $5 cut per member and a 5% cut per seminar.
5. Corporate Membership
A proposal has been made to introduce corporate memberships. This was suggested as a means to promote relationships with companies as well as individuals. This is in the fact finding stage at present and will be presented to the board at a later date
6. Revenue Sharing
A revision to the budget has been approved for $35,000. Each chapter will receive up to $1,500 Advertising & Promotion and $1,000 of Marketing Support for a total of $2,500 per year. Chapters must apply for funding. This program replaces the Chapter Revenue Sharing program.
7. Marketing Budget
The National Marketing Committee budget was increased from $80,000 to $90,000. There will be advertisements placed in the CGA magazine and a half page ad will be taken out in a national newspaper to promote this years' graduates.
Respectfully submitted,
